Sister Ellen Pond Returns to Curitiba to Visit!!

Sister Ellen Pond brought her family down to Curitiba to visit after picking up her brother who finished his mission in Northeast Brazil. It was great to get to know them and we even were blessed with the opportunity to hear Sister Pond sing once again. A wonderful evening!!

Now this just makes a mission president cry!

Today a huge group of great missionaries left to begin a new life at home. They will be sorely missed. This is the biggest group that we have seen leave the mission at one time. Novos Missionarios!!

We received 8 new missionaries today, 7 from the CTM and 1 was transferred to our mission. We are so excited to have them here. (l to r: Elderes Andrade, Silva dos Santos, Viana, Lima, Simplicio, Dornelles, Gomes, and Sister M. Santos.

Three Days in a Row! Welcome Elder Alexandre!

We need to keep this ball rolling. Elder Alexandre arrived yesterday making it three days in a row that we received a new missionary. He had been waiting for several weeks in the US for his visa. He will be trained by Elder Bons and already speaks very well.

Elder Taft Hansen!

Yesterday Sister Smith Arrived and today we received Elder Taft Hansen. It was so great to get him. He arrived a little tired but ready to dig right in and work. He has been practicing his Portuguese in the US and will quickly be fluent.

Sister Smith Finally Arrives!!

Sister Toshia Smith from our hometown of Bountiful finally arrived in Curitiba. She has been waiting in the United States for 5 months for her visa. Wow! We are so excited to finally have her here. She will be awesome.

Salt Lake by way of Curitiba!

Sister Marianne Albino arrived today. She has been called to serve in the Salt Lake Temple Square mission but is awaiting her visa. Until it arrives we will be blessed with having her with us here in Curitiba. It will be great to have her with us and look forward to her service.
