The Return of Elder Noschang & ....

We had the pleasure of going to dinner tonight with one of our returned missionaries, Elder Anderson Noschang and his new wife.  They were married on the 25th of July in Rio Grande do Sul and returned to Curitiba for their Lua de Mel (Honeymoon).  His wife is a recent convert of 7 months and a real gem.  We are thrilled for the two of them.

We had a wonderful lunch with our departing missionaries.  Oh how time flies!  We remember welcoming each of them here almost two years ago.  We have great memories with each one.  (l to r: Sister M. International Missionaries Arrive!!

Curitiba welcomed a marvelous new group of missionaries for the Lord.  Today we received Elders from Brazil, the United States, Chile, and Uruguay.  Diversity is the spice of life.  We are truly blessed with a unique opportunity to see how the Lord has blessed His people in all parts of the world. New Missionary Training

Welcome Back

We were super happy today to see our Elder Fabio Silva again.  He returned to visit his mission friends and enjoy the balmy Curitiba winter weather.  He reported that he is anxiously engaged in the work, currently serving as the second counselor in his bisphopric and busy with his studies. 

Leadership Training #4

Today was the last day of Leadership Training.  Not sure why the picture turned out so blurry.  Our leaders from the Curitiba/Iguacu, Paranagua, and Boqueirao Zones were present.

Sunday in Prudentopolis

Today we had the privilege of attending meetings out in Prudentopolis.  After our meetings we drove out to our branch president's chacara for dinner.  It was a wonderful afternoon spent with President and Sister Stadler and their daughter Simone who drove out with us from Curitiba.  Dinner was great and the Pokas (tangerines) were ripe on the tree.

Special Temple Visit

We had a wonderful temple session with a majority of the stake presidents in our mission and the temple presidency.  Afterwards we had a little social behind the temple with pizza and Guarana.  A beautiful evening with wonderful friends and leaders.

Today we had leadership training with our leaders from Novo Portao, Luz and Jardim do Sol.

Leadership Training #2

Leadership Training today in the Boa Vista Stake Center.  We had with us our leaders from the Boa Vista, Sao Lourenco, and Taruma Zones.

Leadership Training #1

Leadership Training in Ponta Grossa with the Ponta Grossa, Campos Gerais, and Guarapuava zones.  It was a wonderful day of training and testimony as it poured rain outside.

Parabens Elder Nogueira!!

While in Guarapuava this weekend we received a surprise phone call from one of our former missionaries, Elder Johnny Nogueira.  He informed us that he got married on Friday in Sao Paulo and had brought his new bride to Curitiba to introduce her to his mission.  We had a wonderful visit with them at the mission home before they had to return to Sao Paulo.  

Guarapuava Weekend

With Dallin in the US for summer activities, we went to Guarapuava for the weekend to work.  We made several visits with families there and after meetings in the Guarapuava and Vila Bela branches we had a marvelous Sunday dinner with the Araujo family.  Four generations of this pioneer family were present.  It is thanks to families like these worldwide that the Church continues to grow and expand.

July 2012 Zone Leader Council

July's Zone Leader Council focused on The Book of Mormon and leading with exactness.  The zone leaders left ready to take on the world!!

P-Day and New Bunk Beds

Today we delivered new bunk beds to the Elders in Ponta Grossa.  These beds were built to withstand whatever the missionaries throw at them.  Solid steel!!  Just like their testimonies.
